We attended the annual Ocean City Economic Meeting at the Flanders on Thursday. Steve Brady spoke to the Chamber and provided this good news about Summer 2012:
"There is some good news. The Ninth Street Bridge and Route 52 Causeway will offer a sleek, scenic entrance to Ocean City. Hurricane Irene could have, but did not cause a lot of damage, though the storm did shut the shore down for almost a week.
Atlantic City, he said, is offering popular outdoor concerts and new casinos are coming. On the flip side, for the first time ever, Pennsylvania gaming halls beat their Atlantic City rivals in the revenue department.
“I think it will be a good year for tourism,” he said. “There are some good things happening in Atlantic City. People will still want to come to Ocean City this summer.”
