Manasquan Delivery

Today marks the first of our Manasquan 2013 deliveries. We were thrilled to get an order at one of the most televised Manasquan homes following Hurricane Sandy.

 Its amazing that this home is ready for the summer! There's a lot going on around it and things are getting better day by day.

Feels like vacation

Sometimes a stroll through a nearby beach town feels like a vacation day.

Yesterday we took a walk in SpringLake to get my sisters birthday gift. It was a beautiful spring day. Instead of making the trip just about an errand we decided to take our time and check out some of the stores. Our first stop was Waterlily. They have the cutest clothing and accessories. We bought 2 adorable things there (cant say cause its a gift). We then stopped at the Bottle Shop for a bottle of wine for dinner. The guys in there were so nice I had to buy two bottles:) from there we stopped at the Scone Pony for a cup of coffee. I couldn't leave with just coffee so I got 2 of the most delicious brownies ever. Our next stop was by far the best. We stopped by the Spring Lake Art Gallery for the first time. Their adirondack chairs definitely drew us in! The owner, Corbett, is truly passionate about his art and such a wonderful guy to talk with. My son and I learned so much and had a lot of fun. We bought some art too! Last stop was joe leone's...we had the wine, brownies so we needed some dinner. It was fresh pasta and sauce for us. All in all a great day.

A new way to get around AV and SH

Great news! Jitney service will be available for Summer 2013 between Avalon and Stone Harbor.

The Jitneys will provide transportation in 13-passenger, air conditioned, eco-friendly (powered by natural gas) vehicles.


The current plan is to drive north on Second Avenue and Dune Drive, and south on Ocean Drive and Third Avenue. The Jitneys will make stops on the corners where customers will be waiting. With 6 to 8 Jitneys running each day, the wait should be no longer than 10 minutes. The schedule is to run Friday through Sunday starting Memorial Day through June, and then seven days a week from July through Labor Day weekend.  Fairs will be $2/person from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., and then $4/person from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.

I would have loved having this option when we used to rent in Stone Harbor during my high school years.  It would have been so great to hang out with friends in both towns.   Now I'd love to take the late night Jitney following a trip to the bars but with an infant at home, I'm just happy going to bed early:)

Crab cakes

Yesterday we stopped by the fish market at Kleins in Belmar. We normally frequent Point Pleasant fish markets during the off season but we were in the area. Our friends love Kleins so we figured why not.

Kleins has a restaurant, tiki bar and fish market. It was a nice day and I was almost lured into the tiki bar but I stuck to the agenda: get crab cakes for dinner.

They were delicious! I look forward to trying their New England clam chowder for lunch today... I had to stray a little off the agenda.

Ocean City Toms Walk

My son was visiting the office yesterday and I decided to take him for a walk in hopes to bring on a nap. It didnt work but we did meet up with friends from the 7th Street Surf Shop.

We joined their walk in support of Tom's One Day Without Shoes. The intent is for children to experience what it's like without shoes for one day.

There's always something great going on in Ocean City.  We are very happy to be a part of it!

Welcome to the Fleet

We recently purchased a new vehicle to add to the Relax fleet.  Since I've always been known for naming my cars -  this new cargo van's name is Grace Kelly.  

Here are my reasons for the name:
Grace Kelly had a house in Ocean City. Our van is likely to be spending lots of time in Ocean City.
Grace Kelly was stunning and so is our van.

I hope to print out a picture of Grace to put in the van.  

Homeowners Recommend Relax

It's nice to hear from homeowners that  recommend our services to their guests!

We've been in contact with Oh Sea Rentals since Summer 2012 when we delivered items to vacationers staying at one of their properties.  At the end of the vacationers stay, we received a call from the owner, Anthony, to learn more about our services.   We provided him with some brochures for guests staying there for the remainder of the summer.  This year we are excited to be recommended on their website.

Super Bowl XLVIII Business Connect

Today we met with the Super Bowl committee for an overview of opportunities for small businesses. The session was held at NJ PAC and included an overview of the event and breakout sessions. We met with lots of great businesses hopeful to participate.
