Full circle

Way back in my consultant days I worked  on system implementations for the government.  I found the materials management and procurement process to be very interesting.   I still remember many of the acronyms!

I am thrilled to report that Relax is now a vendor that will be listed in one of these government systems. We look forward to submitting for government contracts in the future under the linen supply NAICS category:)

It's amazing how things go full circle.

Ready for Some Football!

We are thrilled to announce we are an approved vendor for Super Bowl XLVIII.  This Super Bowl is the first cold weather Super Bowl hosted in NJ.

We are so ready for the Super Bowl!  Our rental items (e.g. towels) already know the Met Life stadium locker rooms.  We've delivered items there for special events two years in a row.   Our beach equipment is perfect for tailgating! We have beach chairs, coolers, games and more!

In addition, we expect many homes near the stadium to be available for rental for the event.  We will deliver to your NJ rental home for the event.  Our linen and towel rentals will make your stay more relaxing and enjoyable.   In addition to linens and towels, we offer blankets, pillows, duvets, aerobeds and a wide range of baby equipment (cribs, pack and plays, strollers and more).

Check us out on the official Super Bowl website here.  Call us today to place your reservation. We look forward to working together!

Saturday Roundup

I can't believe it's almost the end of the prime summer season. We all had a great time today doing deliveries and pickups all over the Jersey Shore. I was happy to be out on the road doing deliveries and pickups too.

Here are some of the photos I took during the day.

Fun Stop On Way Back From Pickup

We love it when we get to mix business with pleasure. Today we had a pickup scheduled in Brigantine.  After doing this, we figured it would be cool to visit Gardners Basin. I've never been before but have seen the artist shacks featured in magazines.  We also got a good tip on a restaurant from our employee Darla.

It's a little tricky to get to since its kinda by the Revel. Upon our arrival, there was a lot of free parking. We were tempted to stop at the aquarium to visit the sharks during shark week but we are saving it for another time.  We decided to walk around the few stores that were open and then headed right for Bay Bay Ale House.

This restaurant is pretty cool. Lots of folks were outside with dogs at the bar. We opted to sit on the porch. Food and service was great. My steak sandwich was fantastic and so was my allagash white beer. For a quick second I felt like I was in Key West. I will be back- probably after another weekday Brigantine order:)

Linens Anyone?

Today was a fun day of folding linens at our new location in Ocean City. We folded over 150 sets of linens!

These linens are ready for summer 2012. They are excited about where they will be headed. Lbi? Stone Harbor? Sea isle? Avalon? Or up north in the lavallette area? They dont care. They are just looking forward to making your vacation more relaxing and enjoyable.

If this wasnt exciting enough, we got a shout out from the Martha stewart show with guidance on how to fold a fitted sheet.

This is just the 1/2 of it. Folding fun will continue again soon. Maybe Martha Stewart will come down and help!

The Grand At Diamond Beach

We had the pleasure of visiting The Grand at Diamond Beach.  We were asked to discuss our rental items and services for vacationers renting at The Grand.

We had a great meeting with Ashley, vacation manager at The Grand.  Ashley took us on a tour of several rental properties.   Each of them were beautiful from the layout to the flooring to the decor.  We also checked out their amenities including their private beach and infinity pool.  The property and location is great for vacationers interested in the best of Cape May, private beaches and some of the fun in Wildwood.

If you are interested in booking a vacation rental at The Grand, contact Ashley at ashley@thegrandatdiamondbeach.

If you are interested in our services for your property or vacation, visit www.relaxconcierge.com or call us at 609-601-5077.

Hotel Sheets vs. Vacation Homes

Here's an interesting article about the types of sheets provided by hotels.  Let's just say we rank right up there with top hotels like the Westin:

Ocean Beach Realty

We enjoyed meeting with Ocean Beach Realty today. We had the opportunity to discuss linen rentals and ways to best integrate our services with their rentals.  Ocean Beach Realty has about 4,000 rentals per season.  Many of the rentals have been vacationing in OB for years and know the normal drill of bringing linens.  However, there are many vacationers that they believe would benefit from the convenience.

In appreciation for their time, we provided a $100 gift certificate for their upcoming Customer Appreciation Weekend on Jan 28-29.

Visit Ocean Beach Realty  on Facebook on on their website.

Trip Report: Point Pleasant

We enjoyed a great lunch today in Point Pleasant with Lisa Jedic at Prudential Zack Shores.  Lisa handles a lot of great rentals in Manasquan, Point Pleasant and surrounding towns.  We met Lisa on Twitter early last year and have been chatting ever since.

Lisa invited me to their new location at Ocean Ave.  We arrived with a box of delicious cookies from Joe Leones.

One of Lisa's Manasquan
Beachfront Rentals
It was nice to meet with the other agents in the office. We chatted about Relax Concierge and the upcoming summer season.  Just talking about the summer made me feel a little warmer.

Lisa and I dined at 709 after finding out that Off Shore was closed until Jan 15th.  Neither of had been to 709 before but we had heard good things.  Lunch was great.  The location was really nice and modern.  I had the Lobster Bisque and BLTA sandwich.  The A stands for Avocado.  The soup was delicious and so was the sandwich.   We've made it a plan to try to get together at least once a month. Hopefully we go back to 709!

After lunch,  I stopped by one of our new favorite butchers, Artic Market & Butcher.  The owner is so nice and their meats are delicious and affordable.  Looks like pork chops for dinner tonight.

Trip report: Long Brach Island

We visited Long Beach Island for a linen delivery for New Years weekend.  We typically dont have time to hang out and enjoy the beach scenery on a work day but being the off season we enjoyed every minute of it.

We started the trip by completing our delivery in Beach Haven Crest.  It was a beautiful rental right on the beach.

View of AC from Holgate
From there we decided to head to Beach Haven to find a restaurant for lunch.  With a few options open, we decided to hold out for a bit and enjoy checking out some sights.

We first headed down to Holgate to catch a glimpse of Brigantine and Atlantic City.  Its amazing to see how close we were.  During the summer, we often think it would be really convenient to be able to travel between Brigantine and LBI for deliveries.   While there we collected some sand for the collection.

Reminded me of Key West
We then decided to drive the whole island.  The island is 18 miles long so we embarked on our trek to the lighthouse.  We found the drive to be ideal since there was minimal traffic and most of the lights were just blinking being that it was the offseason.

Barnegat Lighthouse
Upon arrival at the Barnegat Lighthouse we took several pictures.  The lighthouse was closed but we enjoyed the view from the ground.  We collected some sand for the collection and were on our way.

Our next stop of Viking Village to check out the fishing boats.

Keeping warm at the Lighthouse
After this, we headed to  The Greenhouse Cafe for some New England Clam Chowder and a caeser salad.

We recommend checking out all these spots on your next visit to Long Beach Island.

Have fun!

Holiday Visitors

Small Christmas tree (unlit in pic)
welcomed guests
We just love having overnight guests at our home.

In the spirit of Christmas we made sure to make our guest rooms festive for California and Florida relatives.

Our front room has to twin beds adorned with our Egyptian cotton linens, down comforters and throws. We added a small Christmas tree with lights to greet guests when entering the room. We also included solar power candles in the window. In the back room we added bay leaf garland around the bed and vanity. In both rooms we left candy canes for our guests.

Garland adorned bed along with
signed copy of Polar Express
In addition to the holiday items, we included our relax do not disturb signs and sparkling water. Our front room guests also had our concierge bell for use whenever needed.

Thankfully we were on vacation too and it wasn't put to use.
