Bare Feet

It's another year for polar bear plunges up and down the coast at the Jersey Shore. This year the plunge has more significance than dunking into the frigid waters. Many northern beaches were hard hit by Sandy and had so much debris on the beach.

Shore towns have remained committed to their tradition and continued with plunges only after major sand sifting on the beaches. The beaches are looking so much better every day. I was more thrilled to see plungers bare feet in the sand than to watch them dunk. With all the focus on our beaches, they will be ready for summer 2013!

LBI Is Alive! See You This Summer

This is a great video showing the condition of Long Beach Island (LBI).  As you will see - your favorite places are still there and getting ready for your visit.  We are ready for you too!

I just wish I was in as good shape as the runner in this video.  Our LBI concierge is a marathon runner and probably would keep up with him!

Hot chocolate

We truly enjoyed hosting an impromptu hot chocolate stand outside our place in manasquan on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Walkers along the beach path were welcome to enjoy a complimentary cup of hot chocolate w whipped cream and marshmallows. Cookies too! Manasquan endured a lot of damage from hurricane Sandy and many walkers were seeing it for the first time. We hope the hot chocolate helped warm folks up and allowed them to think of warm days ahead as the recovery continues.

Thank goodness for Pinterest. As a new mom I've been learning what to do in the middle of the night while hanging with the new baby. I usually start with Facebook then check out Twitter.

Over the past three weeks it's been so hard to check out both of them since there are so many devastating pictures of our Jersey Shore. In an effort to keep it together for the kiddo and any chance to get back to sleep, I had to look for another option.

We started Pinterest boards a few months ago highlighting some of our favorite spots at the shore. I decided to head back to the site and further expand our wall with cute options for families visiting the beach. We know many places at the shore may not be the same, we are certain many things will always be great. We will still have beach bags that need to be filled, beach photo opps, large family dinners at rental homes, etc. we hope viewers enjoy checking out our suggestions!
