Resort Fun Amenities Available At Relax Concierge

During a recent trip to Key West, we stayed at the Casa Marina Resort (a Waldorf hotel).  The Casa Marina is by far our favorite hotel in Key West.  They offer wonderful amenities, great customer service and the best beach in all of Key West.    While located a super short cab ride or long walk the craziness of Duval Street,  the Casa Marina has the most to offer vacationers.
BAGGO Bean Bag Toss

While on vacation, we are always looking for great amenities to add to our  inventory.  We really liked the fun beach games for hotel guests.  Our favorite was their Baggo bean bag toss.  We played every day during our stay. After a few games, we were back sitting on the beach enjoying the free popsicles.

We've recently added Baggo to our inventory for Jersey Shore vacationer enjoyment.  Check out our Fun options at www.relaxconcierge.com to reserve during your summer vacation.

My Favorite Jersey Shore Sunset Spots

I do my best to see as many sunrises and sunsets as I can.  Both are two of the best parts of vacationing at the Jersey Shore.  Obviously the beach is the best spot to check out a sunrise, but the perfect sunset is a little more challenging to find since we aren't on the West Coast or in Key West.   While no Jersey sunset has the performances like a Key West sunset from Mallory Square, the Jersey Shore has a more relaxing take on it.    Here are some of my favorite spots:

The Beach
The beach is my favorite sunset spot. You may not be able to see the sun setting over the water but what you will see are the beautiful changing colors over the ocean.   There is usually plenty of space on the beach to check it out!

Sunset Beach, Cape May Point
Sunset Beach is as close to Mallory Square as we get.  There is a flag ceremony as the sun sets over the concrete ship.  Afterwards, look for cape may diamonds in the sand.
http://www.sunsetbeachnj.com/

Wissahickon Ave, Cape May
There are times where we dont time the sunset perfectly on our trip down to Cape May from Ocean City.  When this happens we make a right onto Wissahickon Ave from Rt 109 in Cape May.  Its the street before Lucky Bones.  We are usually the only ones there which is such a treat.  This picture was take from this spot over the Summer.

If you have some time to plan, pack a little treat and beverage and bring a blanket.  You may want to even bring some music to get into the sunset spirit.

The following are just a few recommendations in Somers Point, NJ.

Inlet
998 Bay Avenue, Somers Point, NJ 08244
(609) 926-9611
Awesome location right on the bay.   Nice dining room.  Good spot for a drink at the bar.  Good spot to sit outside and enjoy the music while admiring the ferris wheels in OC across the bay.  If you are planning to have a large group (e.g. family reunion) - they have a large room available for parties.

Smitty’s Clam Bar
910 Bay Ave, Somers Point, NJ 08244
(609) 927-878
Great spot for a casual seafood lunch or dinner.  We love their seafood casseroles, New England clam chowder, and Tuna dish.  Prices are really reasonable.  It gets really busy during dinner time. We’ve occasionally called in a take out order to avoid waiting.  BYO. Cash Only.

Anchorage
823 Bay Ave, Somers Point, NJ 08244-2346
(609) 926-1776
Great  bar and restaurant.  We like their nachos, potato skins, among other things. The dining room is nice if you don’t want to sit at the bar.  It gets so crowded and the wait can be really long.  They do take out if you don’t want to wait.

OCEAN CITY RECOMMENDATIONS

Many vacationers at the Jersey Shore already know Relax Concierge for their egyptian cotton linens rentals, luxurious towel rentals and beach item rentals. What you may not know is we provide free recommendations to area restaurants, stores and local area attractions.

RESTAURANTS

701 Mosaic
701 E.4th St
609-398-2700
Good jerk chicken and specialty alcohol free drinks. Carribbean food.

Aunt Betty’s Ice Cream
2100 Asbury Ave
Very cool ice cream spot perfect for the family. The Rocky Road is sooo good. The line may be out the door but it gives you a chance to decide what to get. It is especially great if you can walk there from your vacation spot . However, but street parking is available. Aunt Betty's has 2 locations. We prefer the vibe the listed location.

Crazy Susan Cookies
1345 West Ave and on the Boardwalk
(609) 391-1919
http://www.crazysusanscookies.com/
Cookies are soooo good! Priced about the same as a cupcake or an ice cream and totally worth it. We like to bring these when visiting friends on the island.

Emily's Ocean Room Cafe at the Flanders
19 E. 11th Street
(609) 398-5700
http://www.theflandershotel.com/emilys.asp
We like Emily's because its a little different from other Ocean City options. The Flanders is a great spot to walk around and check out the historic and haunted hotel and Cape May-esque gift shops. If walking around - check out the ballroom level where events are held.

Hula Grill
940 Boardwalk
609-399-2400
http://www.hulasauces.com/
Finally a great spot for healthy eating on the boardwalk. We like their coconut shrimp (did we say healthy ?). It comes with awesome sticky rice and a side salad with delicious dressing.

Jon and Patty’s
637 Asbury Avenue
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ocean-City-NJ/Jon-Pattys-Coffee-Bar-and-Bistro/167074502415

Mallon's Sticky Buns
1340 Bay Avenue
(609) 399-5531
http://www.mallonsstickybuns.com/

Piccini
1258 West Ave
http://www.menuism.com/restaurants/piccini-ocean-city-90701/online-menu
Good spot for brick oven pizza and pasta. We love their pasta dishes. They give you more than enough for 1 person. We don’t suggest eating there since it is usually packed. They deliver and do take out. They do not take credit cards so bring cash or plan to stop at the bank machine at Wawa next door.

Positively 4th Street Cafe
400 Atlantic Avenue
(609) 399-8400
