What a busy Saturday for deliveries and pickups at the Jersey shore!

We were all over making vacations more relaxing and enjoyable for our guests from Manasquan, Ocean Beach, Long Beach Island, Brigantine, Ocean City, Sea Isle, Avalon, Stone Harbor, Wildwood and Diamond beach!

The day started with a little chill, then some rain and we even were sunkissed!

We are already gearing up for next weekend. 

Rainy day ideas?

So it's raining again today at the Jersey Shore.  We were hoping it was going to be a beach day too.   Our beach equipment had high hopes for a bright and sunny day:)  Not to worry, the weather forecast looks good for the next few days.  
In the meantime, we have some ideas for making the most of the rainy weather on your family vacation:

Share some of the pictures you have on your smart phone with your loved ones.   We take lots of photos but we dont always get to show others our great shots.   Why not order some prints of your favorites while you are at it at your local pharmacy or online site?

Learn how to prepare a family favorite meal.  You may be stuck inside today but you may have a good cook in your presence. Why not plan out a great recipe for dinner and learn how to cook it?  All the family members could get involved from setting the table, shopping for ingredients, preparing vegetables, etc.  Write down the recipe while you are at it and use it in the future!

Pillows on the top or bottom?

When making beds for our customers we are left with the decision to either leave the duvet pillows at the top of the bed or elsewhere.

Those that rent at the shore know that comforters aren't cleaned each week. They can go all summer without being cleaned.

We often put the duvet pillows aside or at the bottom of the bed so that they aren't on our clean linens. While it may look a little unusual we are definitely always thinking of our customers.

LBI Is Alive! See You This Summer

This is a great video showing the condition of Long Beach Island (LBI).  As you will see - your favorite places are still there and getting ready for your visit.  We are ready for you too!

I just wish I was in as good shape as the runner in this video.  Our LBI concierge is a marathon runner and probably would keep up with him!

Baby monitors

With the recent addition to our family, we definitely like having a baby monitor with us when our little one is not in our arms. This definitely helps us relax instead of wondering what he's up to.

Favorite bakeries at the shore

One of our favorite things to do is hitting a local bakery at the shore. Whether it be walking, riding our bike to or taking the convertible we like to make a trip to the bakery a small excursion.

Here are our favorite spots:

BOB strollers are great!

For summer 2012 we expanded our inventory to include single and double BOB Revolution strollers. With a new addition to our family, we are excited to have a stroller of our own.

The BOB has been great for our walks at the beach on sand and gravel. It's also been great for walking with our dog.

Regatta!

The Last Thing You Want To Do After Arriving At Your Beach Rental

Your summer vacation is just around the corner. You are looking forward to a fun filled week at the Jersey Shore. You pack up suitcases for most members of your family (as well as yourself). You pack the family and suitcases in the car and embark on likely traffic filled drive to the shore. After arriving you stop by the realty company to pick up keys at 2pm and head over to your "home away from home" for the next week. Within minutes, you are now unpacking the car and making up the beds. After settling in, it's now around 4pm. Still time for the beach... Well yes, but now your family is hungry for a late afternoon snack and there is nothing to feed them.

Guess that means someone has to go grocery shopping.

In most shore towns, there are only one or two grocery stores that are mobbed with vacationers on a Saturday late afternoon. After figuring out which one is closest, you arrive and battle for a parking spot. You get a cart and try to make your way down each aisle not exactly knowing where everything is located. All said and done, this takes about 1-2 hours out of your vacation and keeping you away from your family and the beach.

It may help checking out Peapod.com since they have detailed item descriptions. (We do not use peapod or any delivery service since they typically do not service the shore towns).

3. Let us know when you are arriving and provide credit card information for cost of order if not provided over the phone

4. Relax Concierge will deliver the order when an adult is present.

5. Receipt will be provided and credit card will be charged.
