Surf Chair Rentals (Beach Wheel Chairs)

We get asked from time to time about surf chair rentals (a.k.a. beach wheel chairs).  We unfortunately do not currently offer these.  However, many coastal towns provide at no charge.

Here are a few towns offering free surf chairs:

Avalon - Daily (summer): 10:00 am - 1:30 pm or 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Monday - Saturday (quiet season) -  Call for appointment.
Lavallette - Available on a first come first serve basis through the Lifeguard Headquarters 732-793-2566.
Off season Beach Wheelchairs are available through Public Works @ 732-793-7766

Run Like An Antelope To See Phish At Bader Field This Summer

What could be better than 3 nights of Phish at Bader Field? Some of you may say Dave Matthews... but since this is my blog - Phish is the right answer.

Tour dates include 6/15, 6/16 and 6/17.  Tickets are $60 general admission. Check out the tour info here.

Phish loves to play AC so we are sure the shows will be fabulous. We will definitely be going to one of them.  Not sure which one yet since we anticipate that weekend to be the start of our busy season.

While the website suggests many hotels in AC, we think a beach house is the way to go for the week or long weekend.    If booking a beach house - spend more time hanging at the shows or catching some sun.  Let us provide you with linens, towels, beach gear and more!

Regatta!

We are looking forward to working with several families of sailors participating in the USODA Optimist Team Trials located at the Branch Beach Yacht Club. The Regatta will be held from April 26th - April 29th.

This event has the best Opti sailors in the Nation vying to represent the USA regattas across the world.

Beachgoers At The Jersey Shore

With this unseasonable warm stretch of weather, many locals have been hitting the beach.  Its nice to see folks out there with their beach chairs, towels and books.  While it may be a little warmer inland,  it is sweatshirt weather up on the beach.

We are hoping to catch some rays tomorrow!  We dont get much time to hang out on the beach in the summer so we certainly try to enjoy whenever we can.

Free Vacation?

Free vacation are two words you never hear together.  Vacations can cost a lot of money if a whole family is going away for a week.  With so many costs these days,  sometimes vacations are held for another year.

Sea Isle Realty Office Visit

In preparation for Summer 2012, we've been visiting with realtors to spread the word about our rental items and services.   Sea Isle was the pick of the day so we headed over with our basket with examples of linens, towels, toiletries and free items like our Acqua Panna water.

After our visit, we stopped at Mike's Seafood to pick up crab legs for dinner.  The front store at Mikes is open on Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays in the winter.   We tried to order dungeness crabs and lobster mac but they are only available during the Summer months.  We'll have to wait a few more months.

Next stop?  We have a few more towns to visit including Margate, Lavallette, Avalon and Stone Harbor.  We will be there as soon as we reorder another 5000 door tags.

Thursdays sunrise was a bit gloomy but the sunset was incredible.  Its a good day when you get to enjoy both no matter what they look like.
