My First Crib Rental Experience

Here I am hanging out near my rented crib in sunny Florida.
Our family is in the process of planning our first vacation since the baby was born.  Our baby is  four months old now and is ready to visit his cousins in sunny Florida.

We are excited to take a trip to meet our new cousin and also to catch some sun since we don't do much sitting during the summer months.

My mom brought out some pictures from my first vacation to Florida.   I was about the same age as my son.    When asked how it was traveling with a baby - my mom said they rented a crib and it made their vacation so much easier.   Who knew that someday I'd own a rental equipment business that provides cribs to vacationers staying at the Jersey Shore!

Now back to planning our vacation!

Make Valentines Day A Year Round Celebration

Romance Package
With Valentines Day in mind, we've added a Romance Package to our services.  While most vacationers aren't at the beach in the middle of February we will be making the Valentines Day spirit a  year round celebration.
We've always loved reviewing this service when looking at resort websites to see what's included.   We've taken some of the best G-rated options to form our own.
We think this will be great for honeymooners, couples celebrating an anniversary or a typical Wednesday night for some.  We just don't recommend for a first date:)
Package Details:
A romantic getaway to the Jersey Shore is a perfect way to say "I love you".  Our Romance Package includes:
  • Godiva chocolates at bedside
  • Sparkling non-alcoholic wine and two champagne flutes
  • Two plush bathrobes for your use during your stay
  • Rose and petals on bed
  • Turn down service
  • Candles (Flameless)
  • Romantic music or music of your choice
  • Personalized Note
Note: Bathrobes and iPod docking station must be returned 24 hours after date of package.  Package applies to one bedroom.   Robes and Ipod docking station must be left outside in appropriate location for pickup.

Trip report: Long Brach Island

We visited Long Beach Island for a linen delivery for New Years weekend.  We typically dont have time to hang out and enjoy the beach scenery on a work day but being the off season we enjoyed every minute of it.

We started the trip by completing our delivery in Beach Haven Crest.  It was a beautiful rental right on the beach.

View of AC from Holgate
From there we decided to head to Beach Haven to find a restaurant for lunch.  With a few options open, we decided to hold out for a bit and enjoy checking out some sights.

We first headed down to Holgate to catch a glimpse of Brigantine and Atlantic City.  Its amazing to see how close we were.  During the summer, we often think it would be really convenient to be able to travel between Brigantine and LBI for deliveries.   While there we collected some sand for the collection.

Reminded me of Key West
We then decided to drive the whole island.  The island is 18 miles long so we embarked on our trek to the lighthouse.  We found the drive to be ideal since there was minimal traffic and most of the lights were just blinking being that it was the offseason.

Barnegat Lighthouse
Upon arrival at the Barnegat Lighthouse we took several pictures.  The lighthouse was closed but we enjoyed the view from the ground.  We collected some sand for the collection and were on our way.

Our next stop of Viking Village to check out the fishing boats.

Keeping warm at the Lighthouse
After this, we headed to  The Greenhouse Cafe for some New England Clam Chowder and a caeser salad.

We recommend checking out all these spots on your next visit to Long Beach Island.

Have fun!

The Last Thing You Want To Do After Arriving At Your Beach Rental

Your summer vacation is just around the corner. You are looking forward to a fun filled week at the Jersey Shore. You pack up suitcases for most members of your family (as well as yourself). You pack the family and suitcases in the car and embark on likely traffic filled drive to the shore. After arriving you stop by the realty company to pick up keys at 2pm and head over to your "home away from home" for the next week. Within minutes, you are now unpacking the car and making up the beds. After settling in, it's now around 4pm. Still time for the beach... Well yes, but now your family is hungry for a late afternoon snack and there is nothing to feed them.

Guess that means someone has to go grocery shopping.

In most shore towns, there are only one or two grocery stores that are mobbed with vacationers on a Saturday late afternoon. After figuring out which one is closest, you arrive and battle for a parking spot. You get a cart and try to make your way down each aisle not exactly knowing where everything is located. All said and done, this takes about 1-2 hours out of your vacation and keeping you away from your family and the beach.

Relax.... Relax Concierge is here to help with grocery shopping for your vacation. Provide us a list and we'll pick up the groceries for you and deliver them within hours of checking in.

How it works:
1. Access www.relaxconcierge.com and purchase the Grocery Shopping service. (Please reserve 3 days before your arrival.) Alternatively, call us at 609-601-5077 and we'll complete the order.
2. Email us your grocery list. When providing the list, provide some general suggestions( like look for organic if possible). It may help checking out Peapod.com since they have detailed item descriptions. (We do not use peapod or any delivery service since they typically do not service the shore towns).
3. Let us know when you are arriving and provide credit card information for cost of order if not provided over the phone
4. Relax Concierge will deliver the order when an adult is present.
5. Receipt will be provided and credit card will be charged.
